Fox and Quirky

This was my first time being so close to a horse that I could touch it, let alone ride one. They were surprisingly bigger than I had thought. My horse was called Fox and my husband’s horse was called Quirky. He was a bit nervous that his had a name like Quirky – he thought perhaps his horse had a similar personality to get that sort of name. The first time riding a horse, I guess you don’t want it to be quirky.
However, as it turned out his horse was the teacher’s pet. Did as he was told, stayed behind the tour guide and he had 0 problems. Fox on the other hand, he kept stopping, wouldn’t move forward when asked and wouldn’t even step in puddles and would try to go off course whenever possible. He even did a small jump over a puddle which terrified me, the horses behind us followed Fox.
No one warned us about how much your bum would hurt after riding a horse though!

My husband found a Natural spring where the public could pay to have a swim. You had to drive to get there and it was surrounded by woodland. It was a unique experience and the views made it even better. Unfortunately, they had re-directed the spring to flow into what I could only call a man-made swimming pool, they even painted the bottom blue. This dampened the experience a little bit.
